Saturday October 3, 2015 “The IceMan” Viktor Postol Out Boxed, Out Punched and Finished the hard hitting Lucas Matthysse to capture the vacant WBC super lightweight world title. Saturday’s fight was a huge win for the Ukraine born Postol. With such a dominate win against a top fighter in Matthysse, unfortunately Postol will most likely become the fighter to avoid.
Wladimir has almost all of the belts, and has defeated countless titlists — some of them twice — and silenced the former WBA champion David Haye! So why is Wladimir Klitschko criticized? Is he boring? He doesn’t take many risks? Is it because he’s a Europesan title holder and has beat every top American Heavyweight out there?
Regardless of what you may think there’s something to be said about a technically sound heavyweight boxer who’s great jab is reminiscent of the great Larry Holmes. Believe me, there have been times I wanted to change the channel because his cautious boxing style is like watching grass grow. But you can’t deny Wladimir’s relevance amongst some of the great heavyweights. You have to give props to a fighter like Klitschko.
