The current Interim Champion, Luis Ortiz, destroys his opponents by inflicting significant physical damage, using bone-crushing-blunt-force. With a record of (24-0-0-21) it’s easy to see why there aren’t any top contenders knocking down Ortiz’ door because fighting Ortiz is high risk with little financial reward.
Smokin’ Joe Frazier had one of, if not the best left hook in the business! Joe Frazier was a composed man inside and outside the ring. Boxing lost a true Champion and great humanitarian, he will be greatly missed! R.I.P Smokin Joe!
Wladimir has almost all of the belts, and has defeated countless titlists — some of them twice — and silenced the former WBA champion David Haye! So why is Wladimir Klitschko criticized? Is he boring? He doesn’t take many risks? Is it because he’s a Europesan title holder and has beat every top American Heavyweight out there?
Regardless of what you may think there’s something to be said about a technically sound heavyweight boxer who’s great jab is reminiscent of the great Larry Holmes. Believe me, there have been times I wanted to change the channel because his cautious boxing style is like watching grass grow. But you can’t deny Wladimir’s relevance amongst some of the great heavyweights. You have to give props to a fighter like Klitschko.
